From theme tunes to installation pieces to jazz scores to pop songs, Peter Vettese has worked closely with numerous leading figures in the music industry for over three decades. Vettese was born into a renowned musical household and his first experience of public performance came at the tender age of nine when he joined his father’s big band as a regular in the line up. His repertoire of arrangements include (Grammy Nominated) ‘Walking on Broken Glass’ and ‘Why’ with Annie Lennox, the string arrangements for Mick Hucknall’s recent ‘American Soul’ album and music for television, most recently the title theme for Comic Relief’s ‘Let’s Sing & Dance’ and the trailer (morphing ‘I Should Be So Lucky’ and ‘Je t’aime’) with Eric Cantona for Euro 2016. Amongst numerous successful collaborations with world renowned artists including Sia, Annie Lennox, Robin Gibb (co‐writing the last song Robin performed, ‘Don’t Cry Alone’), Melanie C, Beverly Knight, Ronan Keating & Boyzone, Julian Lennon – Peter co‐wrote and produced the much-loved, inspiring song ‘Proud’ with Heather Small (ASCAP & BMI AWARD WINNING, Stevie American Business and Anvil Awards Winner – not to mention the 2012 Olympic Bid Theme!). He also pursues his passion for original jazz influenced scores, including his theme for American Airlines ‘New Yorker’ advertisement featuring James Gandolfini, performing with The Corrado Rustici Trio, producing and writing for Nils Wulker’s gold-selling album ‘Up’ – and his personal Miles Davis/Gil Evans inspired collaboration with Zoe Pollock The Majesty of Light, the eponymously titled first album is released in March 2017.

In recent years Vettese has also written and produced the music for several independent films and various installations – for example ‘Sentebale Song’ for Prince Harry and Jinny Blom’s Sentebale Garden at the centenary Chelsea Flower Show in 2013. To be released as Lesotho Song, this is a twenty‐five minute piece for which Vettese found inspiration from the landscape and musical heritage of Lesotho, the friendship between two young princes, the unique national links between Wales and Lesotho, contemporary South African poetry, the Fibonacci Series, and his own extensive knowledge of the harmonic overtone series. Vettese continues this first love of performance alongside his career as a songwriter / composer and is an internationally respected keyboard player – he has played all over the world, with bands including Jethro Tull and Simple Minds, with Annie Lennox, and is the go‐to artist for keyboard driven pieces. Keyboard‐led songs include Dido’s ‘Here with me’, The Bee Gees‘ ‘One’, Whitney Huston’s ‘Step By Step’, Cutting Crew’s ‘Died in Your Arms’, Sophie B Hawkins’ ‘Right Beside You’, Ben Montague’s ‘Haunted’. Vettese is also a leading Hammond organ player – recently he joined world‐renown Cuban artists on Zucchero’s latest album, ‘La Sesión Cubana’.
