Carry on Screaming.

From the 1966 film of the same name, I was asked to produce an exact copy of the original for the Sky Atlantic TV series ‘Walking and Talking’ written by Kathy Burke.. There are some pretty awful versions of the song circulating on YouTube and I made analysis down to the last molecule of the instrumentation and harmony to honour the fabulous orchestration that is easy to overlook on the original recording (maybe due to all that screaming!). In my version Atila Huseyin sang the lead originally sung by Ray Pilgrim.

I love making forensic analysis of older recordings when it is hard to perceive exactly what’s going on – a challenge that is just red rag to a bull for me!
