Transitioning from her Spice Girls time to solo artist (never easy for anyone emerging from a well known band) meant that one of the first songs we did together had to be meaningful and heartfelt. I played the piano (a sonorous Fazioli at the time) at Metropolis in the morning and recorded the orchestra at Angel in the afternoon. Melanie sang with total conviction (as she always does). What a beautiful day on Earth.
